LAKE FOREST, Calif. — Portfolio, the nation’s leading reinsurance program managers for automotive dealers, announced this month that John Luckett has joined the company as a managing director for sales and agent development. Based in Southlake, Texas, Luckett formerly served as senior vice president for sales and marketing at First Extended Service Corp. and Resource Agent Group (divs. The Warranty Group).
“Portfolio has provided me an opportunity that I have always wanted- to start my own business providing top-tier profit solutions to dealers and agents,” Luckett said. “This managing director position, representing the industry’s reinsurance leader, is exactly what I was looking for at this point in my life. I am excited to be able to work with the other talented sales leaders at Portfolio.”
Luckett is a 33-year veteran of the automotive industry, starting with 14 successful years in the retail segment. There he gained extensive management experience in every phase of variable and fixed operations at single-point family dealerships and multipoint megadealerships. He joined First Extended in 1999, won several sales awards, served on numerous industry advisory boards and has been active in industry panel discussions.
