LAKE FOREST, Calif. — Portfolio has promoted Casey Van Schoyck from compliance director to the newly created position of chief compliance officer. Van Schoyck will report to the reinsurance and F&I products provider and administrator’s COO, Dan Haugen.

“To say Casey has earned this promotion is an understatement. She has and continues to be our ‘watchdog’ for industry and governmental compliance guidelines, as well as data security advances. Casey is also respected as an important expert through her participation in several industrywide legal and compliance initiatives,” Haugen said.

Portfolio’s CEO, Brent Griggs, added, “One of Casey’s many strengths is that she sees the big picture in product development. She has a strong background as a product manager as well as compliance and regulatory matters, so she knows how to balance marketing and compliance goals. We permit a great deal of flexibility to meeting our agents’ and dealers’ product needs. Casey is extremely thorough and effective in our fast paced environment.”

“Compliance continues to evolve in our industry so we must address the increased scrutiny at all levels. As chief compliance officer of Portfolio, I’ll continue to lead our efforts to keep our processes and products compliant while also focusing on strategic initiatives that this fast growing company must develop,” Van Schoyck said. “Portfolio takes seriously its mission to serve as a trusted partner while delivering superior products and services to our agents and dealers, so I will guide my department’s efforts toward maintaining that trust.”

A graduate of Baldwin Wallace University in Northern Ohio, Van Schoyck joined Portfolio in 2010. She previously served as product manager for Great American Insurance Group and PNC Bank (formerly Provident Bank) and as benefit advisor for Guardian Life. She is based in Ohio, where she holds an active license for accident and health, life and variable insurance.
