IRVINE, Calif. — Portfolio has been named the first-place Diamond winner in the Service Contract Reinsurance category in the 2014 Dealers’ Choice Awards. This is Portfolio’s fourth Diamond award and first since 2010.

The program is sponsored by Auto Dealer Monthly and based on an audited national survey. Dealer principals and dealership personnel named their providers and scored their satisfaction in 27 product and service categories. Respondents were asked to identify and vote only for providers they have personal experience with. Providers were rated in four key areas:

  • Quality of the product or service.
  • Customer service and support.
  • Overall value.
  • Whether you would recommend the provider to another dealer.

“The Portfolio program is dealer-centered. Respecting the dealer’s rights of ownership requires us to conduct ourselves with integrity and transparency to honor the dealer’s interests first. We see ourselves as a trusted partner, not just a provider,” said Brent Griggs, the company’s president. “This demands that we provide every available profit opportunity through diligent income development in the dealership and regularly scheduled analysis of reinsurance company performance. I think this goes a long way toward explaining our recognition in the eyes of dealers.”

This year’s Dealers’ Choice Awards winner will be listed in the August issue of Auto Dealer Monthly and honored at Industry Summit in Las Vegas in September.
