Portfolio Again Voted Top Diamond Award Winner

June 27, 2019

The only provider of reinsurance to be ranked at the top 12 consecutive years

(Lake Forest, CA, June 27, 2019) Portfolio, one of the nation’s leading reinsurance program managers for automotive dealers, has been voted for the 12th consecutive year as top provider of Vehicle Service Contract Reinsurance in the annual Dealers’ Choice Awards national survey. Portfolio earned this year’s first place Diamond award, its 5th Diamond in the past 6 years. The awards survey is sponsored by Auto Dealer Today magazine.

“We are honored that our dealers and their staffs have again voted us #1,” said Brent Griggs, President and CEO. “We bring something a bit different, and I believe better, to reinsurance and to the dealerships we serve, so this award tells us we are doing it right. On behalf of Portfolio I thank all our clients who voted for us.”

Chief Sales Officer Dan Haugen added, “This award is shared with our independent agents, Managing Directors, and Reinsurance Specialists in the field along with our office staffs in California and Texas. They interact with our dealer clients every week and I know that the Portfolio experience they deliver is a huge reason for our continuing success in the annual Dealers’ Choice Awards. My thanks and congratulations go out to all of them too.”

The survey was conducted over four weeks in May in an audited process where thousands of dealer principals and other dealership personnel scored their satisfaction with providers in 35 categories of products and services. Survey respondents were asked to cast votes only for providers with which they have firsthand knowledge and experience, in at least five categories. Readers of Auto Dealer Today and F&I Showroom magazines were reminded regularly to submit their votes.

The top three companies that exceeded each category’s average score were given 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards. In addition to identifying their primary providers in each category, respondents rated their providers in four qualities: (1) the product or service provided; (2) customer support and service; (3) the overall value for dollars spent; and (4) whether the dealer would recommend the provider to another dealer. The quality of the votes is weighted more heavily than the quantity in order to level the field for smaller providers.

The complete results and analysis will be featured in the Q4 issue of Auto Dealer Today. The complete list of winners can be found here. All award winners will be honored this year at the Industry Summit in New Orleans, November 4-6.
