New NMAC Appearance and Theft Product Approvals 

Nissan Motor Acceptance Corp. and Infiniti Financial Services (NMAC) will begin permitting the financing of vehicle protection products. These products include Portfolio theft and appearance care programs. The impacted products and the benefit limits we have submitted for approval are listed below. 

 

New Product Suite

  • Appearance Protect 
    • Coverage: Exterior + Fabric + Leather/Vinyl + Rip/Tear/Burn + Rental Car 
    • Eligibility: 
      • New vehicles: Previously untitled vehicles 
      • Used vehicles: Previously titled vehicles, up to 12 model years old
      • Limit of Liability: NADA wholesale book value, rental $50/day up to 3 days per occurrence
    • Term:  
      • New vehicles: 5 years 
      • Used vehicles: 3 years 
  • Theft Protect 
    • New and used vehicles: 3-year, $2,500 benefit 

 

Legacy Portfolio

  • Appearance Care 
    • Coverage: Exterior + Fabric + Leather/Vinyl + Rip/Tear/Burn  
    • Eligibility: 
      • New vehicles: Previously untitled with less than 7,500 miles at time of sale or factory/program vehicle with less than 20,000 miles at time of sale 
      • Used vehicles: Up to 12 model years old with less than 150,000 miles  
    • Limit of liability: NADA wholesale book value 
    • Term:  
      • New vehicles: 5 years 
      • Used vehicles: 3 years 
  • Theft 
    • New and used vehicles: 3 years, $2,500 benefit 

 

Legacy NAE/NWAN

  • Surface Protect 
    • Coverage: Exterior + Interior with antimicrobial + Rip/Tear/Burn up to 2 inches 
    • Eligibility: 
      • New vehicles: Up to 4 model years old 
      • Used vehicles: Greater than 4 model years old 
    • Limit of liability: $8,000 aggregate and $250 max payout for headlight dulling or water spotting on chrome 
    • Term: New and used vehicles: 5 years 
  • Theft Protect 
    • New and used vehicles: Theft Protect Plus, 5-year, $4,000 benefit 
  • Wear + Tear Protect 
    • Lease vehicles: Standard program converted to a waiver, no lender-specific changes 

 

If you would like to continue selling currently installed products without lender approval, no action is necessary. However, if you would like to have the NMAC-approved forms and associated products installed to take effect April 1, contact Client Relations.
