The printing operation in our Strongsville, Ohio, office is a hub of activity where paper meets ink and where our associates have the opportunity to make a huge impact on the success of our agents in the field. And it’s within that facility that we find Shipping and Production Specialist Angela Pfeiler, who has been part of the Portfolio family for nearly two years.

Angela plays a critical part in a function that is essential to our business. Her department is responsible for printing materials that our agents use when pitching Portfolio and the products and services we provide, including brochures, books, sales cards, posters, banners and more.

“I am still amazed at what our printers can do. It’s so fun to see it all come to life,” says Angela, who works closely with the Graphics and CRM teams. Each day, she and her teammates go through new orders, filter them, assign each a priority level and then plan the production of materials needed.

Attention to detail is of the upmost priority when printing and finishing orders, but so is teamwork. And, according to Angela, that is one of the best things about working at Portfolio. “My department is set up perfectly right now,” she explains. “We all help each other out, we all have each other’s backs. We get along so well that it just makes the job more enjoyable.”

Angela considers her teammate, Senior Production Specialist Christian Dohar, as one of her professional mentors. (“Christian has taught me so much — and still teaches me to this day.”) Working and learning alongside one another has helped make the job that much easier for Angela.

Her personal mentor is her mom. Angela is lucky to have her mom live very close by. “My mom is my favorite human being and I’d be lost without her,” she says, noting that family inspires her to do well in life and her career.

Outside of work, Angela enjoys spending time with her family, binge-watching shows, playing video games and going for long drives. “Ohio is such a beautiful state,” she says as she talks about driving through the state’s many national and metro parks, taking walks to view the vibrant colors the flowers show off in springtime or cruising through the exquisite foliage on display every fall season.

However, she would love to travel and explore outside of her home state one day soon. She endeavors to see it all — including places like Europe, Australia and sunny Southern California.

Although born in Oceanside, Calif., Angela truly has no recollection of the small, coastal town. “My dad was in the Marines and stationed at Camp Pendleton. I moved to Ohio when I was only 3 years old.” Since she was recently named Associate of the Month at Portfolio, she has been entered into a drawing for a grand prize trip to the Christmas party of her choice at one of our offices. Of course, if she’s selected as the winner, she would choose to visit our Lake Forest office. A side trip to her Oceanside birthplace would be amongst the top things she’d want to do while in Southern California.

Clearly her dedication and hard work have not gone unnoticed. As a highly respected member of the Portfolio team, Angela remarks that it is not difficult to produce great work when you love what you do. She explains that she rarely has the Sunday night blues.

“I don’t dread Mondays like many people often do. I really enjoy my job. I like coming to work each day and I love the people I work with.”
